The Particles Words of Ngaju Language in Mahaga Anak Awau by Rosa Kühnle. Ngaju language
is Barito language (Austronesian) that speech of ethnic of Dayak Ngaju and other ethnics in Central
Kalimantan Province. Dayak Ngaju ethnic lived side of Kapuas, Kahayan, Katingan, Mentaya, Seruyan
and Barito rivers. Based on its forms, particle words of Ngaju language consists of preposition, conjunction,
interjection, emphatic, explanatory, adverbial, questioning and klitik (the words which have no accent
and always following to the accent words). Based on its function, particle words can be grouped into (1)
attributive which divided into three subgroups, such as: (1.1) attributive group which can be pairs to
nominal and verbal phrases.(1.2) attributive group which can be definite to pairs of nominal or verbal
phrases to nominal class, and to verbal class. (1.3) attributive group which can be free pairs with their
phrases. (2) directive. (3) the connective can be divided into 2 subgroups, such as (3.1) the coordinative
conective consist of (a) additive, (b) consessive (c) alternative, (3.2) sub-ordinative connective consists of
(a) as adverbial of reasons in sentences, (b) as adverbial of time in sentences, (c) as adverbial of manner
in sentences, (d) as adverbial of destination in sentences. (e) as adverbial of comparison and uncertainly.
(4) coherence consists of dari 2 subgroups, they are regressive coherence and progressive coherence. The
particle word of Ngaju language has various structural meanings, such as affirming relationships, causes,
conductor, comparator, quantity, quality and hesitancy relationships.
